An affinity group is a group of people who come together to participate in a defined set of activities with a shared common goal. As a result, affinity group members come to share certain ways of thinking, acting, interacting, valuing, and believing. As they work together, they also develop their own unique identity as a group. They provide support for each other and as they work together, they learn from each other and acquire new forms of currencies from their group members.
