pd cohorts

Join one of our PD cohorts and learn how to master an aspect of your teaching. Whether it’s developing and delivering rigorous instruction or learning how to better motivate and support your reluctant learners, a PD cohort will help you develop a portfolio of skills to help you master your craft.

What’s involved?
For an entire school year, each PD cohort meets monthly with a coach from the Mindsteps Institute to learn a new teaching strategy or skill. Then, cohort members will work in their own classrooms to develop that skill with their students receiving one-on-one coaching from the cohort coach. Cohort members will develop a teaching portfolio of lesson plans, unit plans, student work samples, teaching videos and reflections that can be used by the district to develop a collection of examples they can share with other teachers and use in future professional development activities.

  • Monthly live webinars with a Mindsteps Institute Coach (webinars will also be archived for repeated viewing).
  • Bi-yearly face-to-face coaching and training with a Mindsteps Institute Coach
